As part of the Oak City 7 Summer series, King’s X, Demon Eye, Cousins, Job Sebastian, and Minor Stars were scheduled to perform at the downtown Raleigh outdoor City Plaza venue.
Due to inclement weather, King’s X and Demon Eye were moved to the Lincoln Theatre indoor music venue.

King’s X has been around for about 30 years or so. I have heard of them from other people over the years but it was not until recently I truly discovered the magic of this band.
Seems like lately , my car disc player only knows how to play King’s X music. As an added bonus the bass player Doug Pinnick is left-handed like me. Anyway, this band is completely
solid: excellent songs, showmanship, harmonies, musicianship, grooves, riffs and meaningful lyrics. Honestly, I was blown away by their show (and I see plenty).
Can’t really understand why they are not bigger than some other “more successful” bands out there. They definitely are successful at getting me to be a huge fan.
